Eric Erickson submitted this copy of the first telegraph message sent from Washington Territory by Governor Pickering to President A. Lincoln and his reply in 1864

An historic document by Jack Bush, entitled How "Greenbacks" Saved The Lives of the Bush Family has been posted to our web site.

The document was kindly provided by Sue Cameron Bush, a descendants of the Bush family. It is an account of the Casto Massacre of 1864 according to Andrew Jackson “Jack” Bush, the son of James and Martha Bush. Jack Bush dictated the account to his wife Mandy Bush who passed it down to descendents.
