Memories of. . .
Pioneer Reunion
Sunday, June 25th, 2000

This Millennial Pioneer Reunion was greeted by a beautiful, warm sunny day and great turnout. This page records but a few photographs and memories of the event.

Thanks much to the organizing committee, chaired by Eric Erickson, Faye Green and Sue (Bush) Cameron. The event was dedicated to the memory of David Horrocks.

Kitty (Horrocks) Jones was the official photographer - and her film pictures will be used to create a beautiful memory book to be available in the Town Hall museum and at future reunions.  The photos shown below are by president David Bangs and his new digital camera - unless otherwise noted.

Photo Memories

Gene and Betty Klineburger brought their vintage 1914 Reo "convertable."  The Issaquah Press reports that "Klineburger, who has lived on the Plateau with his wife for 21 years, restored the classic car in 1965."

Nan Sargeant fiddles with Fred Brumm on guitar, as Kayleigh Bangs dances.

Long time resident and accomplished accordion player Johnny Benomi also provided musical entertainment - inspiring one couple to dance the polka.

The depot freight room was decked with displays, artifacts, and hanging laundry.  Jeanie Horrocks talks with Colleen Peterson at left.  The Millennium Trolley Project booth dominates a corner of the room.
