Issaquah Law Enforcement History
John Drylie
Town Marshal 1906

John Drylie was born in Scotland in Sept 1853 and immigrated to the United States in 1886. Where he made his landfall remain unknown, but more than likely New York was his initial destination.

He married another Scot, Issabella of who was born in Aug 1857. Together they had three children, Thomas, b: 1893, Anne, b: 1891 and Ruth, b: 1898.

John worked in the coal mines, along with some five hundred other men, before taking office.
