The end of one era and the start of a new one was heralded in on October 7 with
ribbon-cutting ceremonies at the historic Issaquah Depot. Almost six years of
difficult work came to an end as dignitaries from around the state came to
congratulate the close-knit team of volunteers for their dedication to the
project.
Washington's first lady Jean Gardner, right, was on hand to cut the ribbon
and praise the crew, from left: Eric Martin, Gordon Rust, Ron Rowe, Dale Martin,
Michael Yanac, Denny Croston, Sr., and Historical Society Chairman Greg
Spranger.
