At the moment we do not have a
trolley car in operating condition. We are in the fund
raising stage to get one of our streetcars up and
running and hope to be able to announce a restoration
schedule soon.
In the meantime, visit our
Depot
Museum and take a look at the trolleys!

The Trolley is a work
in progress. Currently housed in our trolley barn, volunteers
are seen working on No. 519.
Come participate in the
progress at the Issaquah Depot. Make the dream of trolley
service in Issaquah once again a reality!
Milan Car #96
I.V.T.'s interurban car was successfully
unloaded at Issaquah's Depot on the morning of May 22, 2003 and
we've been working on it ever since.
More About Car #96.
Car #519 was
built in 1925 and remained in active service in Lisbon, Portugal until
1978. During its last year in Aspen, this J.G. Brill trolley
was cosmetically restored inside and out, and placed prominently on
display in Ruby Park, as shown above.
This
trolley was unloaded at the Issaquah Depot November 25, 2002 and it is now
housed in our trolley display barn. Since it is set
up for narrow gauge track, we will have to either adjust its wheel base
or lay down a third rail.
The second Brill trolley, which was brought from Aspen in January, has
not been cosmetically restored.
In early 2003, we purchased and took delivery of an interurban street car
(pictured at right)
from the City and County of San Francisco. It is a circa-1930 Italian
streetcar, which ran in and out of Milan. The car came to San Francisco for
the City’s use in the late 1980s, and is now being phased out of the
line. The car is 45 feet long and constructed of steel. Although it
is in excellent electrical condition, the car needs structural and
cosmetic work.

Previous Trolley Back in Yakima
Full of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and sporting a new paint job inside and
out, the vintage trolley we had the privilege of running in Issaquah
for a year returned to Yakima in May 2002. Trolley fans may visit
Yakima to ride the trolley on a scenic 7 mile route to Selah on weekends
during spring and summer months.
