Pogacha of
Issaquah: Northwest
Cuisine with an Adriatic Flair. Pogacha began in 1986 as the creation of
Helen Brocard, a daughter of Croatian parents, whose knowledge and
understanding of food began at her parent’s Vashon Island farm,
producing what is well known today as Pogacha Restaurant. The name
“Pogacha” is a Croatian term meaning “soft, chewy flatbread.” Our
pogachas are freshly made each morning, formed by hand and baked in our
wood-fired oven, a replica of those found in Europe. We feature a
Northwest menu with the added flair of the Adriatic, fresh herbs started
from seedlings in the family garden in Croatia, and an exceptional wine
list which enables you to enjoy quality wine at a truly reasonable
price, whether you are a wine connoisseur or wine novice. Pogacha is
owned by Brad and Lisa Cassidy, and Steve King, all natives of the
Seattle area, who firmly believe in the culinary arts, and who have
adopted a love for quality food prepared simply, freshly, and with care.
On behalf of ourselves and some special and talented individuals who
share our view of Pogacha, the Chef Brian Past and our Managers Anne Bly
and Kim Manus, we welcome you to Pogacha. ZIVIO!
Located at 120 NW
Gilman Blvd. Issaquah, WA 98027 (425) 392-5550.
Issaquah
Rogue Brewhouse:
Dedicated to the Rogue in all of us! “Trolley Ale” is now on sale in
beautiful trolley emblazoned bottles. A portion of all Trolley Ale sales
helps support the Issaquah Trolley. Rogue Ales bought Issaquah Brewhouse
in March of 2000. The Brewhouse has been in Issaquah since 1994.
Issaquah brews, such as Bull Frog Ale, will continue to be produced on
site in its 7 bbl brew system. There are 21 taps at the Brewhouse, 15
Rogue, 4 Issaquah and 2 domestic. Rogue exported employees to insure
that the pub provides the same quality of service as Rogue's other pubs
in Newport and Portland, Oregon. The Issaquah Brewhouse offers catering,
meeting space, private parties, gift shop, and a children's play area.
Located at 35 Sunset Way, Issaquah, WA 98027 (425) 557-1911.
