Resources for Your Students

Are your students participating in History Day? Writing a paper? Doing a group project? Issaquah History Museums has online resources and docents who can guide students.

Research Center

The David J. Horrocks Research Center is available for use during Gilman Town Hall open hours, and by appointment. Research assistance provided free for the first fifteen minutes (which is usually sufficient for staff to locate the appropriate materials for you), and $20 an hour afterwards. Independent use of the center is free.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities are available for high school students. Students can work as museum guides, do research, or work with our collections. Submit a volunteer query form for more information on positions available for your students.

Digital Collections

Our Digital Collections provide a wealth of material, including scans of photographs, letters, and diaries, as well as transcripts of oral interviews. Visit our Digital Collections site and get started!

This web site is also a great resource for researchers of all ages. The Dig Deep section includes dozens of primary and secondary resources, as well as a research guide. You can also search for any term or phrase.
