Did you know that downtown Issaquah used to be the site of numerous coal mines? The Issaquah History Museums’ Olde Town Mine History Hike explores the mining history that shaped downtown Issaquah. Take the hike and get a new perspective on the Olde Town neighborhood through historic photos, maps, and discussions of the changing landscape.
This loop hike begins at the historic Train Depot in downtown Issaquah and covers the areas near the Issaquah Creek dam and Mine Hill before returning to the Depot. Walks are held rain or shine. Bring water, snacks, and wear appropriate hiking shoes.
You can purchase tickets to this hike via Eventbrite. Tickets are $12.50 general admission or $10.00 for IHM members. Advance registration is required and unexpected guests cannot be accomodated. Participants meet at the Issaquah Depot Museum to begin the hike. There is a strict limit of 20 guests for this hike. Please, no children under 10; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please leave your canine friends at home.
