The Issaquah History Museums are seeking support for the first phase of an extensive building renovation project at the landmarked Issaquah Auto Freight Building. The Auto Freight Building was declared a King County and a City of Issaquah Landmark on September 26, 2019. Originally constructed in 1939, the warehouse was used by the Issaquah Auto Freight Company as a warehouse and garage during the time their business was active in Issaquah. When renovation is completed, the building will look the way it did during the 1940s, when the building was in use. The interior will serve as much-needed storage space for the community’s collection of 36,000+ artifacts, representing Issaquah’s past and present.
